During "The One Show" broadcast 2nd March 2009,  Dom Littlewood advised that 17 airlines went bust in 2008 due to the economic downturn and soaring oil prices, and asked the question "How safe are the flights bookings?"  "How can we be confident we are protected against getting stranded abroad?"
