With trepidation Underwood Insurance accepted an invitation to a Table Tennis match from JD group.  Although we knew the group had access to a table tennis table every morning, lunchtime and evening, our enthusiasm was undeterred and we even organised a pre match team building event to ensure we played to, and utilised our best players against seeded opponents.

Our team was made up of Neil Underwood, Paul Sweetland, Dave Brassey, Perry Ellaway, Geoff Dyer, Mike Bowyer, Sarah Lippiatt and Angela West.

Underwood battled through the rounds and a lot of the games went to the wire.  Underwood’s star player Paul Sweetland swept to victory over 2 of JD Group top players.  However despite all players giving their all, and both teams enjoying the event, we only achieved 1st runner up (2nd of two teams).  A return match is now being planned. 

JD Group be afraid; be very afraid!!!!
